Default 1990 crx si project

Decided ta buy a sc for my car since it was so cheap.. only $900. It came of of a d series engine so i thoght it would fit on my dohc zc but the bolt pattern was different. So i decided to buy a cheap d15b7..$150.
Here is a pic of the sc.

My old engine-dohc zc

My engine bay now

My new engine with the sc

Hope u enjoy. Ill post up more picks when i get the new engine in the car. Hopefully ill have my built zc with sc in there soon.

I take it you've tried high-octane fuel?

I have a stock '91 Civic Si in which I run regular unleaded. The only time it has ever knocked was when it was going uphill, heavily loaded, on a hot day.

Does yours smoke the tires easily? I'd like to get the 4x4 drivetrain from the big wagon and put that in a Crx along with a modded or swapped engine. That should take care of any traction problems.
