I recently did a mini me but just replaced my block for a ZC (SOHC) and kept my Z6 head (92 si). Now in 3rd gear at full throttle past vtec activation point (~5000rpm) I get CEL 22. Could it be that the ZC oil pump cant keep pressure at that load and rpm???? Im using my stock ecu (P28) and a stock P08 also and it does the same thing. Should I check the wires for some voltage or something (pin D6)?? Isnt there a hack that is to connect pin A4 to pin D6 and it works the same??

Did you pull the oil control orifice out of the deck of the block before you put the head on?

 

yes. I dont think its a short cause its only in 3rd and 4rth when im at fulkl throttle

Does anyone know what oil pressureIshould see with a stock d16a6 oilpump and at what rpms? Also should oil pressure drop when vtec activates? how much of a drop
