Default Clutch help

My bro just got his new fidanza flywheel and exedy clutch in. When he goes to shift to 3rd at 8000 rpms he has a clutch grind. The clutch is brand new and he says it isnt a bad grind, it just doesnt go in easily. Can anyone help. Does he just have to break it in? Hes had it for 2 days. Thanks.

you could try switching the tranny fluid to gm synchromesh to see if it would help temporarily.
but he's going to have to buy synchros and they are not cheap

Are you sure the clutch is adjusted correctly? Maybe it's not disengaging all the way

It sounds like an adjustment problem to me. It is pretty typical for a performance clutch to require a slight adjustment to get full release. What you want to do is raise the release point. I couldn't tell from your post if it is cable or hydraulic but either one is adjustable.

It is cable. And we adjust it from where? You mean adjust the cable near the engine?
