Which hole did it fall into? There are lots of little nooks and crannies in there.

Do you have that tool (I don't the name), where it's a long flexable rod with a pretty strong magnet on the end of it?

Next time put tape over the "dangerous" holes in the head.

get a magnetic pick up tool, available at most hardware stores and any sears, you can find them with either a retractable ridged neck or the flexible neck

Ummmm.. Ummmmm.. well hate to say it but the do it yourself attitude is kewl and all but it will cost you more money and down time in the end. My advice would be to take it to a shop and let them deal with the problem. if not you may never find it and in your quest to save a few hundred you may just make mroe and more problems for yourself. From what I can remember though I havent heard of anyone installing valve spring without taking off the head, infact I havent even heard of anyone installing valve springs short of a machine shop, but... what do i know I just know how to G turns so

the keeper fell into one of the wholes in between the 2 springs... not really sure where it leads... if i just keep putting oil in and draining it will it eventually go through to the oil pan? I dont wanna take it to a shop either cause no one near where i live will install them for me for less the 900$ and i dont have that kind of money right now.

You "think"? Better make sure before you crank that motor.

if you only call mechanic when you gotta work on your car then you will never learn anything if you atleast try then (even when something goes wrong) you will come away with the knowlege of how to do that job correctly ...

try the magnet if that doesent work then you may have to pull the oil pan and use something like a coat hanger or a wire to push the keeper down to the oil pan so you can remove it ..... good luck

put magnets or put a rag in the holes.

you might have to take the flywheel cover off... i dont remember if i did or not. there are 2 metal brackets held in with 14 and 12mm bolts that you have to take off to get the flywheel cover off.
