1987 b16 swap
So, I was looking at getting 1987 crx for a daily driver. The motor doesn't start and the guy wants $350 for it but it's 2.5 hrs away. It's silver, the body's good and I know it's a light year, but do you thinks it's a good deal? I wanted to get a a b16. What am I going to have to buy for this swap besides the intake, exhaust and wheels? I know i need better brakes too. I hope this isn't too much to ask for my first post but I did try to do some searching.
84-87 CRX/Civic go to http://www.redpepperracing.com
Brakes can be taken from a 1st gen integra for an upgrade.
B16a swap is doable but add about $1000 onto the cost of one into a EF.

Screw you guys, I'm... going... home.

If it's a DX of HF model, i.e. carbed, then you will have to do a mpfi swap. Si gas tank, fuel lines, fuel pump, some wiring, etc. It's quite doable but rather a lot of work. Even if it's an Si, any b-series is a tiiight fit in that engine bay. Check the FAQ and do some searching over on the rpr forums since I know it was discussed there recently.
