Default B16 into 1st gen Crx Dx?

im about to get a b16 but i dont know what its from,,,i think its from a 99 si but not sure, and the crx isnt si, and i heard non si 1st gen crxs are carbureted so its even harder to swap.
i need suggestions on this swap whether i should swap or not, and if you know does it cost more or take a lot more work to drop a B16 into an non-si 86 crx? thanks

You need Si main fuel line and a electronic inline pump... along with a pump at the motor also.

Needless to say its bitch to convert to FI from carb.... There have been a few ppl that did it.

Just make it easy and buy the HASport wiring harness.

I had a site with some guy that did it.

Needless to say its easier to do it in a Si... less hassle with rewiring and running(infact FINDING Si fuel lines) You can use the stock Si Gastank and inline pump if your hell bent on doing it.

Its just easier to swap in a ZC(Browntops are what you need for 1st gens) and put side drafts on it.... if your lucky you MIGHT be able to find a Carbed ZC....

yes the b16 swap will cost more, and take more work if you're converting from carbed to fuel injected. i bought my brother's rex, which is an 85 si with a b16a1 engine...i think the final cost came to a little over 2000 bucks. to convert the dx to this set up will most likely run you close to $2500-$3000. but i'm not too sure. there are other options that you could consider; at redpepper there was a section about being able to put the 1st gen si head onto the dx block...i think there was some machining involved to get the compression right. or you could build the hell out of your existing engine, and put on some webers. i had an 84 dx, and when i called around for a carbed zc motor, the common reply was "good luck finding one" but it -is- possible to drop a b16 into your dx, it's just a matter of if you're willing to spend the money to get it done.

yo i did a b16a swap on my dx and to tell yout he truth im on my second one. just send the harness to hasport so it get done rigth. cause i had sum one try doing it them selves onthe first swap and they messed up so i had the shop buy me a new harness and they paid hasport the 250 for it . oh yea you gonan need an integra throttle cable, you need to get a resistor box off a si crx or an 90-93 integra "jus go to the junk yard its cheap." ,90-93 integra gsr axles, a integra rear bracket mount from n e 90-93 integra, and thats pretty much it.
