Went to the track yesterday with a couple buddies of mine. 04 RSX-S w/I/E/Hondata and an 05 STi.

Got there and temp was warm, not hot, around low 80s. Got in about 3 runs because it was pretty packed.

My setup as follows.
92 DX EG, back seats removed, exhaust unbolted, Stock B18C1.

ALL LAUNCHING ON STOCK 165/80/13 tires!!! 60 fts were killing me.

My best run of the night was a 14.24@99MPH, If I had better tires and didn't spin so much down the track I think 13s would have been possible. I think I have the MPH to do it. This one was against a 60's Camaro that sounded pretty beefy.


Here was another one of the better runs.

14.25@98.71MPH


My friends RSX-S w/I/E/Hondata and backseats removed did a best of 14.4.
My friend in his 05 STi did consistent 13.75's.

nice times man..your 60ft is killing you. Alot of people tell me for every .10th you take off your 60ft its like one .20th off your 1/4 time. So if you get a 2.360ft you should be running like a 13.8 or so. give or take. Now just imagine it on boost

 

how are 2.2 60's "killing" you? that seems like a fine time for 165 width street tires..

Those are nice 60 foots with true street tires.

My thoughts exactly. Im not sure if I could pull off those 60's with that tire combo...dont know if Ill ever try either.

Yeah I guess 2.2's arent too bad for the stock wheels, I wanna go back with some 15" DR's and try for 2.0's next time.

Man that guy in the right lane on the first slip was having a hard time, eh? 2.8-sec 60-foot? OUCH. Wonder what he could be running with a trap like his though - 102mph

arent STi's supposed to run like very low 13's like the evo 8? That friend needs to keep practicing

 

I've heard the WRX STi's are supposed to run low to mid 13's...

I'd say those times are good for what you have.

I ran a 14.7 with vx rims and street tires. I have a b16a in my 92 vx hatch.

good job, get some drag radials and your 13's easy.
