Default Clutch Adjustment

I just bought a 1988 honda crx Si. The bite point on the clutch is right at the very end ( all the way out). If any body could help me adjust it so that it is about half way through the stroke, or if I have to get a new clutch. Any imput would b sweet.

I do belive you want to tighten it so <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by newrexowner &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> it is about half way through the stroke </TD></TR></TABLE>

Pull up on the arm, while holding it up tighten the **** down. See if you like it, if not loosen it a turn at a time until you find where you want it.

the arm the cable attaches to on the outside of the tranny...if you pull up on it, the adjustment wheel above it is a lot easier to turn..it takes the tension off the wheel

keep in mind that if you still have the old cable it may be time to change it. They do stretch!

Adjust the arm to 1/8 inch freeplay. That is the adjustment spec, you dont want the throughout bearing ridding on the pressure plate splines. Ryan
