Default 93' H23 BLOCK / 96' H22 HEAD / STOCK HEAD BOLTS - MAX TORQUE THEY WILL HOLD?

I am curious as to what the max torque that I could apply with out haveing problems stripping the headbolt holes in the block out. The factory torque for the final round is 72ft-lbs. Could I go to 80 or 85 ft-lbs or more? Anyone had any experience with this matter?

why would you want to exceed the torque specs on those stock bolts? that will only increse the possibility of head warpage/bolt stretch or gasket leaks.

get a set of ARP headstuds instead.
