Default Need HELP with Civic car audio!

I tried installing my brand new Sony deck today in my EG/EH after my last one was stolen. After I got everything wired up I turn the key to ACC only to see the deck won't turn on. So I check the wires again and everythings cool. I put the key back to ACC and nothing. Next, I keep the key in ACC and turn on the parking lights and the deck turns on and works. I got the main wires hooked up right (red, yellow, and black), then the rest are speaker wires. Does anyone have an idea of how to get this deck to play without having to turn on the lights? The previous deck worked just fine without the lights on, so I don't know whats going on. TIA.

you have the acc wire wired to the parking lights not the acc, change your red wire and it will work fine....

change the red wire to what? it says the red wire is for 12v ignition and yellow is or 12v memory and of course black is ground. so i have each paired on the stereo harness to the harness you plug into the car.

either your harness is wrong, or you accidenlty hooked the red wire to the orange wire (illumination- parking lights) it is a common mistake, take a multimeter (or test light) and check the harness... (sorry if this is too basic -- the acc wire will test 12v with the key on, and the lights will show 12v when the lights are on)
