Need HELP with car audio!!
I tried installing my brand new Sony deck today after my last one was stolen. After I got everything wired up I turn the key to ACC only to see the deck won't turn on. So I check the wires again and everythings cool. I put the key back to ACC and nothing. Next, I keep the key in ACC and turn on the parking lights and the deck turns on and works. I got the main wires hooked up right (red, yellow, and black), then the rest are speaker wires. Does anyone have an idea of how to get this deck to play without having to turn on the lights? The previous deck worked just fine without the lights on, so I don't know whats going on. TIA.

you probably have your acc pwr wire hooked up to you illumination wire
if not then you might have a short in that case I would just re-wire the whole getup from battery and fuse panel

Re: Need HELP with car audio!! (Kwon BoA)
now that's some issues...you most likely have the yellow one hooked up wrong. Use a voltmeter to check that your red wire has constant power, without the key in or anything. Then, put the key on acc and see if 12V comes up...if not, check the wiring on the yellow wire. If you're totally confused, use a circuit tester (thingy that lights up when you poke the wire) and find a wire in the radio bay area that gets hot (shows 12V) when acc is on, and splice the yellow wire to that. Hope it helped...
