Default JDM EF9 Cluster

I just bought a JDM EF9 cluster. My question is how do i wire it into my 89 Civic DX? Will i have to change any of the cables or is this a direct plug and play? Any help is appreciated, thank you

yes sir???

92-93 I believe is what year they have them or any hydro b series transmission has them

and u will need to re wire the cluster and change the clips

has now four instead of two

if u like to work of your EF then u will have fun but then again if u hate electronics then get a pro to do it

TJ's honda's had a diagram up.. and ive successfully pulled it off myself.

now.. don't flame me too hard on the wirring.. it was a complete bitch..

acutally i aksed.. posted.. and go no real help. i belive the majority of the research was at clubsi.. but... when it came down to acutally pulling it off.. other than wiring the electiric VSS.. and connecting that to the ECU.. which in turn goes to the cluster through the harness.. the wirring of the cluster conversion was very stright forward... all you have to do is match the colored wires, thats it.

nice link man. For the wire colors and how to install the VSS that is good. Maybe i should sell my EF9 cluster and get a Civic SI one, they look pretty nice.

Vehical Speed Sensor.. CRX's were driven with a gear, and speedo cable through the firewall to the cluster. and JDM CRX's used elctronic versions of VSS's like the OBD1 setups, with all wires.

diagrams tells you what color wires go to what components of the back of the cluster.. if you don't udnerstand that.. dont' convert your cluster.

youre wrong, 92-93 Integra were still cable driven speedo's and cable clutches.

good **** bro

way to help them

and well I don't understand how peeps can't just undo the stock clip and use the pins from there instead of using so much bud connectors and extra wires

It just takes some tiem and patience and anyone can really do it
