hey everyeone hope some of u can help me and give me some settings that you are running in your vafc..........even just a base setting on ur rpm curve would be great.......i just put motor together and need a basic place to start.. hope to get some responses back.
(it has aem cold air intake.... port matched stock intake manifold but cleaned up, ported and polished head, type s cams, crower springs and retainers 11:1 40over bore je pistons, balanced rotating assembly....act racelight flywheel 8.8lbs, act xtreme clutch, unorthodox ultra ss pully kit(crank, alt, pwr steering) quaife lsd, neuspeedshortshifter, msd 6a ignition blaster2 coil and msd 8.5wires with ngk platnum plugs and hondata ecu and apexi vacf controller and str competition fuel rail and b&m fuel pressure regulator, it has a dcsport 4.2.1 header with focus hiflow cat and apexi n1cat back) anything for seettings to get me alittle closer would be appricated

Wait. He has hondata already, i just read the list of mods over again. Why don't you tune your car via Hondata? The VAFC after hondata is only good for reading the rpm of your car
go to the dyno and tune it. You build an entire motor and you think you can just fire up somebody else's settings?
40 over JE pistons....did you sleeve?

maybe he is just looking for a place to start the tuning process, he might not be as comfortable with all the settings just yet.
and yeah, hope you sleeved

i just re-read it also and it does say he has a Hondata ecu and VAFC...WHY? just tune it with the hondata...much better tuning

porkchop exactly i am just trying to get a starting point to get me someplace and go from there.......i will be getting dyno time but motor has to be together in car and running first....i was just hoping for some basic settings to get me going for a month or so untill dyno comes to the shop near me... i know i can get few settings in and yes i planned on having rpm as a single display when im driving because i dont want a IMO hidious 5.5" tach in my windshild.... i want little more sleek looking than that inside......plus every little bit u can adjust gets u that much more closer to where it should be... well thanks for the posts and hope someone has some general settings i could go by.
ok i have to ask.............why run the stock ecu what in the world could i benifit from that? sorry just very very curious as to why thanks for helping
well again, there is no knowing what you need to set anything to until its tuned. all i can say is, until you get tuned, i would stay low and turn vtec way up... no knowing whatll happen to the afr if you try to get on it. when i first got my motor done i stayed below 4k for a week or so until i could get it properly tuned.
but you know how it goes, better safe...
