broken bolt in chassis
I think that i am srewed because the 2 17mm bolts the secure the trailing arm to the chassis broke half way comming out and not i can't get the new bolts in for my brake swap. Any suggestions on how i can take the remainder of the pieces out the chassis?
that sucks
if you can, try torching them to break the rust loose... then WD40 them and leave overnight
next day, drill it with the right size drill bit and then hit them with EZout broken scew removers from Sears or something.

Those are basicly reverse thread screws you use for removing broken screws/bolts they work by drilling a hole thro the broken part and then screwing the extractor into the borken part and since its reverse thread as your removing it your actually making the extractor tighter against the part, neat idea but they done work to well with rusted parts they tend to break. Id recoment torching it out if you can or just drill it out and re chase the threads with a tap or something...
tried using the extractors and they didn't work so now i got a big hole in the bolts and there still in there
. this sucks big time. is there any other option that i have.

if your bolt is seized in there, ez outs probably won't work too well... patience... drill drill drill... tap the hole to the proper thread pitch... get new bolts... a torch might help too... heat up that bolt and try an ez out when it's hot.
you have to drill them out, use a smaller drill bit than the whole remaining bolt so you dont ruin the threads. spray plenty of penetrating oil / lubricant while your drilling. and it should end up caving the bolt in.
