Default please help...my car won't start after new distributor parts

ok...recently, my distributor wuz makin screeching noises. I wuz at a stop light when my car died. Luckily it wuz idling when this happend. I think the distributor's subassembly bearing wuz defective. So everythin just stopped turning. Ok...I bought new parts from honda and swapped new wit the old. Put everythin back together and now my car won't start. Its turning, but will not start. Makin the same noise when my car died and when i tried to restart it. Everything is new except the coil and igniter. please help... thanx

It's possible that when the distributor bearing froze that it siezed the cam and slipped the timing belt?

Then you put the new sensors in the distributor, did you gap them correctly? You probably noticed that they are adjustible. Its not critical, but you should get them within 1mm from the apropriate triggers on the main shaft.

hey man did you buy a whole new base?? or just internals, i know sometimes the base goes out to. that will cause the motor to not turn over. also check the stupid little things. are all the clips on the harness pluged back in right, and is the fireing order is right?? maybe something i siad will help a bit.

yeah...i bought a whole new base....its basically the whole distributor with wires and everythin except it doesn't come with the coil and the igniter, cap, rotor. I had to buy a new rotor cuz i broke it cuz the bearing wuz so bad i couldn't turn it and i couldn't get to the screw. New aftermarket rotor was like 10 bux. i didn't think honda would give the whole part to me for 100 bux...so i thought i had to separate everything. All the wires are plugged back in correctly.

First, get rid of the aftermarket rotor. They are junk. If I wuz you, I would go over and recheck all the connecting wires are in the proper places in the housing to igniter connections. That's probably your culprit.

wussup....wut i meant was that it was kinda cheap compared to the other prices people quoted in other forums. They said it wuz around 350 bux for everything. I basically got the whole distributor for 100 minus the cap, rotor, igniter, coil. So thats y i said "I didn't think honda would give the whole part to me for 100." After I got the parts...I swapped old into new. I swapped the old cap, igniter, coil into the new subassembly. I bought a new rotor from O'Reillys. I put everything back together and it doesn't start. This is a g2 integra. I'm getting spark and fuel...since i checked for spark and the tach is bouncing up and down....it jus wont turn. If im gettin spark and fuel..does it mean i have a good coil or igniter??? Thanx for all the response...peace

your coil can give ya spark but it can have a weak spark. I'm thinking its the ignitor. check wire connections one more time, then see if a buddy will let you swap a coil and ignitor and see if your car works then
