Default Exedy or ACT?

Which is the best for a street setup?

Exedy organic, or ACT 6 pucks?

Actually the Exedy cermatallic is more like the ACT 6 puck, however out of those two brands I'd pick Exedy anyday. ACT just doesn't have a good rep producing quality pieces over and over again as their manufacturing tolerances seems vastly different than other companies.

I don't know if you had only exedy or act in mind, but I have had good luck with my clutchmasters stage 3. So far about 7k, on a 95 vtec.

What mods will you have?

We need to know a LOT more about your build before we can give you an answer...

I bought an Exedy Race clutch for my near stock H22. All I will have on the car is a Carsound cat, Thermal exhaust, Fidanza ltw flywheel, and AEM intake.

I think this is PERFECT for a Exedy Race clutch. If you are mildly modded, I would go for a mile clutch. No reason to overkill on the clutch if your car isn't that modified.

Both the Exedy's and ACT's are very well known and regarded; but I would choose the ACT HDSS, simply b/c IIRC it is a good bit cheaper than the Exedy Cerametallic 3-puck race clutch. The Exedy Organic will probably not hold the power you will be making, and the ACT HDSS may actually last longer than the Cerametallic, also.

FYI - I am using the Exedy Cerametallic 3-puck race clutch in my H23 VTEC w/ nitrous build.

how much power do you think the exedy organic can hold?

but also what kind of power are you thinking of making or already have?
that might help you choose a clutch

Ive got the ACT street/strip disk, the one with the springs in it with the ACT xtreme pressure plate. That clutch is mild but damn does that combo rule. 1st -2nd shifts leave some nice rubber and after 6months of racing on it and then putting it in my new engine it still looks and performs killer.
