my 99 coupe's rear bumper is kinda bulging out on one side. It looks like there's a clip there that may not be attached right. The bumper has been removed and repaired after some jackass rear ended it (not very hard, just scuffed paint off the bumper). Does this clip break or is it the bumper itself? I believe it's #17 on the link below:

its a spacer to keep the bumper from touching the bumper support.. it could be in there at the wrong angle or just not put on correctly.... Take your bumper off, its not difficult.

 

hrm . . . it may just be that the bumper is warped then. It sits about 1/4" off of that spacer. I can push it back towards the spacer and it seems like it is going to clip on, but it just pops back out. I'll try to take some pics later today and post. . . .
