Default Body Work Question. Converting my Si's ROOF to Dx spec

I am getting to a point where I want to make my si a pure track machine, I know its slow and blah blah. But I was contemplating on removing the sun roof assembly and converting it to complete sheetmetal.

as in cutting and welding a new section on the roof.

I dont want to do anything as extreme as primo and chop off the top of another car by the pillars to match it to my new car lol. But I just want to know if this is a feasable idea. I dont have a garage for this car to sit in as of june so the whole buy race plates and swap them out isnt an option.

The car will most likely get stolen by some **** with a tow truck anyway, but if anyone could give me some idea's that would be great.

Didn't someone on this board make a CF piece that fit in the sunroof section? I remember he did it cuz he wanted to take out his sunroof too. Saves weight i guess... good luck

just filling in the piece defeats the purpose, wouldnt there be extra support around the sunroof opening that would cause it to be heavier that obviously wouldnt be removed when adding a metal plug
