I'm looking to get a set of Skunk2 stage 2 cams. My question is, Can anybody tell me what the idle is like? I'll using this in my daily driver, so I would like something with a relatively smooth idle. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Your idle should be around the same point. No higher than 1000 rpms. I havnt heard anyone having idle problems after getting the s2s2's.

 

like stock..a little jumpy on a fully tuned engine very streetable

 

whats is better s2s2 or ctr cause i have a friend with ctr cams and ctr pistons in a 95 gsr and it runs like a raped ape low 13s all day with i h e with nothing striped so my ? is for the money what is better ctr or s2s2

 

s2s2's alot more agresssive. your friends is quick cause he has the ctr pistons and that bumps the compression alot.

 

Yeah i would either get skunk2 stage 2's or toda C's. If you go NA and put some 12.1:1 comp pistons in there you will be raping him. Hate to jack this thread, but for his sake, what are the best cams out there?

I appreciate it man... but I just got engaged last weekend.... so it will still be a little while before I can afford to buy all of the stuff that I'm going to need. Thanks for lookin' out though....
