Hey . Today i went out to buy a engine for my 91 honda civic dx.(D15b7 i believe) so i went to a place near me that had JDM motors. I asked for the engine for a 91 honda civic dx, and was given what looked like the 1,5 litre except it had twin cv carbs instead of PGM FI. Once i got the engine home i looked at it and saw that ZC was stamped on the block. Any one have a clue what kind of engine i have got me?

 

Sounds like an obd-0 twin carb ZC, just like you described. You should be able to just swap over your intake mani, dizzy etc and be fine. However I dont know anything about the carbs, I'm simply assuming you can do so.

 

any idea what the specs would be on this engine? I have an si throtle body i plan on puting on it. Thanks

 

zc put out about 130hp and 108trq but im not sure about carb models..

 

SOHC ZC is about 114hp 106tq, peppy lil motor when MPFI is used...I had one in my 90 Si and pulled 15.8 at the track in stock form
