I just purchased a 2001 ex with leather, f23 vtec 5 speed custom paint.
I just purchased this car and love it, it has 50k miles and car is in great shape, as far as I know, it has some kind of a candy blue paint job with silver flakes. I have been in the prelude world for years, and have no clue what the best mods are for this car, Im mainly interested in a nice I/h/e, suspension, and I already have a set of wheels. I cant find much info on f23, any suggestions would be thankful. Later,
James
Will post pics as I get a few more mods./ Oh yeah, I dont want to hear about dc products and things of that nature....

Its a 5 speed 4 cylinder, f23 vtec coupe. With leather sunroof etc. And yes the f23 has low compression, turbo is what I was thinking but can I get away with 8 psi and excellent tuning, intercooled, on stock internals? But right now im mainly only looking to spend 5 grand at the most, and suspension and some light audio need to be included in that price, I like this car alot ive never seen one like it before. And I have had a prelude, its stock for stock not to much faster, I can chirp third bone stock, I think buying an h22 and modding it would be rediculous, when you could turbo this for same amount and be way faster. Im really interested in the top of the line header and intake.

boostin on 8 psi with stock internals is perfectly safe as long as you check compression and perform leak down tests on ur engine.
intake is intake really, just use generic piping and a K&N filter... but iontake is not just intake when you mate it with a bored out throttle body (or larger aftermarket throttle body) and bored our IM, or again a more aggressive aftermarket IM like skunk2, not too sure if they make one for that engine tho... of course if you are going to turbo non of this applies really, cuz why bother when you can just make **** loads of power with nothing but a turbo?
exhaust mani's for a turbo setup that are superb compared to others are not one of my specialties, seeing as im a NA guy... but i know there is a member on here that makes VERY nice turbo mani's, dont remember his site or name tho
if you plan to go NA then search for dyno runs and see what other people are using for their car. i remember seeing a hotshot (i believe it was) EM gaining 13 horses alone, but that was on an h22, so who knows what it could do for an f23. there are plenty other EM's out there, just search around and you will find what fits your price range and needs the most. good luck, congrats on the find and welcome to the accord family. I must add, the accord family is by far the best family to be part of
