Default help with 2nd gear?

starting from first gear, when i accelerate hard n try to shift into 2nd gear (after 8k rpms) the bike shifts into neutral. i have to shift again and it'll go into gear. this happens about 40% of the time. maybe its cause i'm not shift with my foot hard enough. this is my first bike. what do u guys think?

Also try shifting without the clutch. I know on my bike that if I shift without the clutch, it won't go into neutral. Even if I try.

Try shifting harder with your foot and if that doesn't feel like it should be right bring it to your dealer.

i know some of the r6's had a similar problem. one guy had to completely forego 2nd and go straight to 3rd.

try shifting it up harder. Also, what bike do you have? Like Eglovr said, 99-01..or was it up to 2002, the r6s had bad trannies.
