ok, when i started up my car this morning to goto school. i noticed that the tach wasn't working...so i decided to drive around the block, to see if the whole cluster was broken or not...everything else worked but the tach didn't. then right when i was about to reach my house, it started to work again...then just about 20 minutes ago, i went out to lunch from school. when i started my car, i noticed that the tach wasn't working again, so i revved up the engine a little bit, then now it's working....is this something i should be worried about?? will it eventually break? or is there a wire loose somewhere?? but as of now, it's working...but why was it doing that earlier??

 

sounds like you have a loose wire somewhere. check your wiring before even thinking about changing the cluster.

do you have indaglo gauges? if you do, it might cause the needle to get stuck, it happen to my buddy, and the funny thing is, he had the indaglo in his car for 2 years before it started giving him trouble.

 

no, i don't don't have indiglo gauges

edit::: my friend said it could be something with the dizzy?? can someone verify this or think of something else that could be causing this?

in the back of the sluster its just 4 wire harnesses that plug directly in, just make sure theyre all in there, and if that doesnt work, i guess you should check each individual wire
