How to read ecu codes with OBD1 conversion?
For you guys that have been going from non OBD to OBD1, how do you go about reading engines codes once an EF has been upgraded to the newer system?
Does it actually flash the engine light on the dash like a newer Honda would?

yes, but depending on the conversion harness you might have to ground a particular wire to read codes

I have a blown90hatch harness, and I have a dignostic plug by the ecu. you just put a paperclip into the plug and read the flashes off of the cel. Just like my 00si.

Im using a 93 GSR ecu and there is a plug on the engine harness right beside the drivers side motor mount. Remove the cover and put in a piece of wire on both sides and it will blink the code through the CEL just like an OBD1 car

my car is a 91, I had a plug like that but it was on my passenger side shock tower. That was extended inside the cabin I believe because it is not there after the jdm d15b swap.
