is macco or earl schieb paint job ne good?
If you get the one that actually uses a clear coat and you do all the prep work, it can come out good. I have seen some alright looking cars and they come with warrantees so if you are not happy, they will fix it.

because they use lesser quality paint.
even so there best jobs are halfway decent. make sure you throw the painter an extra 50.

some people have done their own prep work, bought their own paint, and taken it to maaco for painting and came out with good results.
Do the prep work yourself. Tape everything off....they are notorious for overspray. If you don't like the paint they use then take them some paint. I seriously don't think it's worth getting a $2000 paint job on a car that's work as much as the paint job.
does ne one have pics of there "cheap paint job" where the prep work was done yourself? I also cant justify getting an expensive *** paint job on a car not worth that much.
it depends on which one u go to they all got different workers. but wutever u do definitely prep it urself. u dont want the overspray all over the place on ur rims and exhaust and u want it to come out clean.

that kind of paint will not last 5 years...maybe if you get the top of the line package...maybe they will prep the car before paint. but i still would not trust it. i'd rather use krylon and paint it camoflage myself

Do the prep work yourself, take it into maaco, get thier best package deal with a coat of clear.
If you are painting an older car like an EG or EF, hell, even an EK or newer integra or whatever.. If you are driving the car every day, the drive home you are gonna get rocks chipping up your 2000.00 job on your hood fenders and bumper.. So I have to ask.. Why?
Go to Maaco. No matter how much you pay for paint, it's not gonna stay perfect!

My GF just got her 5th Gen Lude re painted, it's a 98, red, it was a little faided and has a lot of little stone chips.
She paid 3700$ CDN (Roughly 2700$ US) for the paint. She got a skirt package painted and installed at the same time.
But yeah, it looks nice, but now she is SO **** about the paint. There is like 1 chip and 2 or 3 scratches now..and that's all I hear.
Her car is a show car so ok, maybe it's ok.
However, my 91 Hatch....that I paid less then the paint job..not worth it. The guy that did her car..told me he wouldn't do my car because it's not worth it. lol
It's either I get it done, or paint it flat black or army green

i'm sorry but i would have reminded that fuggin guy that he is a painter not a fuggin car appraiser. What if his wife wanted a boob job and the surgeon said "I'm sorry, but your wife is not worth it."

HERE WE GO AGAIN.......
Please do yourself a favor and search, this has been covered more times than I can remember. I dont mean to be a dick but it seems everytime this is brought up it just starts a pissing match and doesnt accomplish anything.
Just search, many pictures of many maacco jobs and experiences...
FYI- I had a maacco job on my old rex and it was ****, of course i did all the prep
