you will want some form of way you can adjust your power curve and fuel settings..via VAFC, hondata, etc etc. you are on the right track with i/h/e and cam gears. if you are going to choose crower stage 2 (similiar to skunk stage 1) with stock idle lobes, crower doesnt require valvetrain, but recommends them. its a good idea to get since your already taking apart the head. some say that as logn as you dont rev over the stock rev limit you dont need valvetrain on stock idle lobes..but might as well to save you headache later just in case. as to which to choose, i would choose the crower stage 2. it has similiar specs to the skunk2 stage 1, but about $100ish cheaper. (skunk 2 stage 2 cost the same as stage 1). i dont recommend getting the type-s cams because we all like more aggressive cams..so go crower/skunk2
good luck w/ your project and dont forget to spend a lot of time on the dyno and tuning the beast

I would go for crower stage 2 cams. It gives you more torque than you would ever expect from it and plenty of horsepower. also it would be nice to get the titanium retainers and springs b/c if you make ur rev limiter higher and misshift, there goes ur engine. thats what i have in my prelude plus skunk2 camgears for a 93'vtec prelude. Plus a dyno tune and a vafc controller really helps. i gained about 40 hp from a DC sport header, HP racing intake, crower stage 2 cams, skunk2 camgears. also you could get ur ecu chipped or a msds ignition. But its ur choice so good luck, i love the way my prelude responds in power and handling from all the stuff i did.
depends what kinda compression you are gonna run...but if you want a real mauling cam you are gonna have to really look around...all cams out there suck anyways...i would think somewhere like 14:1 with jun 3 or something...but thats just me hah

i went for the Jun stuff. they are supposed to make some crazy *** power. ill let everyone know in like 2 weeks when my head is on. damn shop is lagging. if you go crower stage 3 your idle will be all over the fookin place, it says full drag apps only. but hey u wanna have idle jump and be sucking pond water on the street, be my guest.
