Default 90 accord failed brakes?

i changed the brakes on my 90 accord lx and the bottom bolt on both calipers wouldnt come out so i took the brake likes off and then put them back on . as usuall brake fluid leak all over the place and when i put them back on i put brake fluid in and now my brakes dont work at all. as in no stoping. i was wondering what to do. one thing i noticed was the little bolt that went back in there has little holes in it. am i supposed to match these up or what. please help and thank you to all that post.
It seems to me that this car is becoming a pain, but its all part of a project car right?

You probably need to bleed the break lines. Not too hard.

Search for "brake bleed", I'm too lazy.

that happened to me with my 94 accord. I over-torqued the brake-hose-to-caliper-banjo-bolt (bolt name from haynes) and it got twisted so the little holes were all lop-sided. I got a new one from the junk yard and it's worked fine ever since. So if bleeding them doesnt work, check the banjo bolts.

Uh... Banjo bolts are meant to face anyway. The holes don't have to line up. That's why they are recessed in the bolt so that fluid can flow out of the hose and can go all the way around the bolt and into the holes. BLEED YOUR BRAKES!!!

yes i know how the banjo bolt works but I over-torqued one of mine and the bolt got completely twisted and would no longer make a seal, which is why I suggested that as a potential source of the problem. You probably do just need to bleed your brakes but if that fails, you may have caused some damage to one of those banjo bolts.

more than likely you just need to bleed your brakes, but one question.... when you say they dont work you mean there is no pressure in the pedal right? or is there pressure and they still dont work? if so... you musta done something wrong man...
