this is a stupid question but its killing me. ive never noticed this but somebody told me there are no rear seats in North American CRX's. im not much of a CRX buff. can someone answer this silly question.

What you heard is true. They did not come with rear seats stock in the U.S.

I think the question should be why would they have ever come with a rear seat anywhere else? I love having a two seater plus the roomy backend.

 

THey come in Japan and other countries with a rear leather backseat. You can get it off ebay for like $450 with brackets and everything.I tihnk it owuld be uncomfortable for teh rear passengers but whatever. Yeah they never came with rear seats in the U.S though

 

while we're on this subject, anyone have some pics of the rear seat actually installed in a CRX?

rear seats in a crx is pointless. well maybe unless you have a dog i guess haha. but they he could just chill in the spare tire well. and wouldnt fly around

well...in North America it is useless because us Americans are bigger than the Japanese folks. If some one has a family over there...the rear seats will fit ppl no taller than 5'8 comfortably

I dont know where you'd put your feet. or your head for that matter. I tried sitting back there once to see how it'd be. It sucked!

Plus, its a crumple zone so I wouldnt put anybody or anything back there that I cared about...

 

Well to me, its not about comfort, its about the JDM

 

just to quell another mystery, not all the back seats are leather. some were polyester fabric.

totally ****.

If anyone is after any, i have about 5 sets of Leather rear seats for CRX's.

the kid i bought my crx off of had a si with rear seats. pretty cool.

 

i'm asian n' 5'6".....i can't even fit back there without my head hitting the roof.

 

I think w/ the rear seat, you can put one person behind the passenger seat. Now if you try to sit behind the drivers seat, thats a diff. story.

 

I dont think anyone could fir back there, i guess its just for looks.

 

Im gonna put my son back there, thats about it. Ive finally found a '91 Si VT EDM, gonna go take a look at it today. It has the backseats, leather interior all that good stuff.

Hope it works out and looks good, im tired of shopping around

 

i like the crx alot better with out those rear seats, they look stupid and are really not useful at all.

my jdm came with the crap non leather seats but i have now stripped the back out so they are all gone

If they do have back seats in the in Nippon, the only thing that would fit back there are Japanese snow munkees...
