Default Wanna Build A D16A6 for F1, *Already Started* Need Some Advise

Well right now Im running a soch zc with bolt ons, nitrous isnt hooked up yet.
During summer I want to piece together a nicely built engine for around 1k for the block.

Ive got an oem head that I pulled off my old car and Im rebuilding it to spec at school in our shitty shop.

I know how to assemble a block but in my shop we have v8 305's and thats it.

So I dont know much about building a nice honda 1.6 block

What kind of pistons am I looking to buy? High/Low Compression?

The motor will be run at a 75 shot so whats a good compression?

Are there any good places online that sell the little stuff like bearings and gaskets and such?

Would a cam really help out? Because Im cleaning the head right now at school and its being taken all apart and the valves are gonna be ground to spec aswell as the seats.

While taking it apart it was like a ******* puzzle, nothing like a v8. I took everything off in like one piece and the cam was just there. Can the head be reassembled without the cam and add the cam later without taking it apart and everyhting again?

CAM BEARINGS: Are there any? I didnt see any, dont understand.

Hope you can help

Get some decent pistons and run at least stock compression, if not 10 or 11:1, since you're not always going to be on the juice, run higher comp. Don't forget rods, those d-series rods will break a little after 200 HP

Check out majestic honda, stock bearings and gaskets are good.

Yes, but depending on how street-able you need it and the fact that its a non-vtec motor, you may not want to go with anything too lumpy.

The rocker arm assembly comes off in one piece, making cam swaps a snap. Just be sure to lube a new cam cam before putting it in.

Maybe they went bad??? JK! There are no cam bearings.

Wow I think this is gonna be fairly easy then. Ill just hook up a nice intake mani and t/b and lookfor an assembled bottom end probably.

11:1 compression? isnt that *** high? Like on nitrous, would it not blow?

I think I may need a guide to putting the rocker assembly back together, I took it all apart to soak in parts cleaner and clean on a buffing wheel at school. Anything online?

EDIT: Forgot to ask if there is anything to be replaced in the head? I noticed some little rubber circle on the valve guides I think

i suggest acl bearings.
arp head bolts
and like previously stated anything over 200 on stock rods go boom and things bend,so i suggest aftermarket rods and pistons.if your looking to stay in the 1000 range i suggest used but get new rings and maybe at least a block guard to be safe.

goood luck.
these are just my opinions.

Is there anything in the head that is commonly replaced though? Ill be finished making everything looking pretty in the next day or two, just spend all class on the bugging wheel
