did you take out the lower bolt to the lower control arm, I can't tell by the picture, its the one at the bottom of the fork. That should make it all fall right out. Looks like you will need to do an alignment now also, because you remove the upper control arm bolts, those can usually stay in when changing the shocks.
Just get a hammer or something and hammer the fork out and they it should just drop out. you make yourself confuse more by removing the control arm, it dont need to me taken out. and if you think the front is hard, dont even think about doing the rear because it 10x harder.

hehe, airtools man, airtools
Those things should be off by now, are they rusted or anything. Try some of that penetrating oil.

first of all you need to take off ur brake line from ur STOCK shocks....but yah...u shouldn't have a problem takin out the shock...if your fork is gettin stuck...on ur axle....kick down ur axle...to force it out...
finally finished the shock instlal it only took hours when it shouldve been a 2 hour job at most.

Come on this should be easy stuff. Buy a repair manual next time so you'll know what you're doing.
For future reference here's what I do:
Remove brake line bolt on shock
Remove fork pinch bolt
Remove lower fork bolt from LCA
Slide fork off of shock and set aside
Loosen top 2 shock bolts
Hold shock with one hand under fender and remove top 2 nuts, then lower assembly out of the fenderwell.
That's it.
