Default msd or vafc?

Whats a better mod to get first??
MSd digital 6, blaster coil, 8.5 wires or Vafc?
Both used.

I just want to get some kind of mod before i get my car dynoed and tuned.
jdm h22 wit lsd, intake, jdm headers, exhuast, cams gears.
What numbers do you guys think I will get? my car seems slow to me and I want to know what I shoudl be hittin. Like 180whp?

I would think the VAFC...

I don't think a stock engine would benefit too much from an upgraded ignition.

...atleast with the VAFC you can lean out a very rich running engine, and lower the VTEC engagement point.

What kind of cams did you get? That would make be lean towards the VAFC, because your motor is probably running lean......

Yeah i guess the vafc sound like the winner.

Another question. would there be any benifits/ disavantage if i get my car tuned with a vafc first, then decide to run some nitrous (50-75 shot)?
I want to run nitrous or msd or vafc? Or in a matter of time all of the above.
damn I hate wasting money...haha

I agree with everyone else who posted. VAFC first. You don't need ignition unless you go FI. I need VAFC myself. You have to get it dyno-tuned though. Figure that into the price.

Screw a VAFC. Hondata and a P72 if you can swing the money for tuning and the ECU. S100 costs $180, socketing is $65, tuning is $300, and a P72 is about $250-$350. Or you can use a P28, which can be found for $125 easily.

if you can afford it get the hondata. otherwise get the VAFC. properly tuned you can get some good numbers from it.

the stock ignition should only be replaced if...

1. its old and worn out
2. timing retard (for OBDII cars)
3. some form of FI where the "extra" spark will help.

otherwise use your stock ignition.

I have to agree with laughinxxx here, I'm in the process of getting rid of my V-AFC to do the P72/S100 or S200 Hondata. I wouldn't even bother with the MSD but that's just my opinion.
