i'm checking out a 2000 silverstone S duece with 10000 miles on it for 21,500.
it is completely stock and owned by an older guy.
i think its a sweet deal and i should jump on it... any suggestions?

 

I paid 22 even for my 00 silverstone with 19k on it. Dealer maintained and in immaculate shape in and out. Still smelled new inside and the paint is perfect. If you feel the car is worth 21, go for it. Check what the price of it should be at http://www.kbb.com or http://www.nadaguide.com

 

i prolly wouldnt pay over 19 especially silver, there are so many of those around, now try finding a berlina black and red int with low miles not abused....for under 20 damn its hard

 

it doesnt sound like too bad a deal. i however on the other hand wouldnt buy it... However... its true that for under 20 its hard to find... keep checking around... maybe ull find a better offer...

my friend actually has a 02 berlina with all red. low miles...actually, not even 15k yet!

he plans on selling it, trading it or just keeping it depending on his new job situation.

he was asking $26k

 

a local dealership offered him 21,500 for a trade in value, so rather than do that.. he thought he'd rather sell it to a friend at that price ... so i put money down no it and as soon as my del sol sells i will be joining you're ranks!

 

if the dealer offered 21500, it is definitely worth that.

jump on it. S2K prices are probably higher in your area.

 

yea they are from what i've seen.. i live in michigan so no one drives them winters here so they all have relatively low miles. there are many going upwards of 24000.. so this seemed like a hot deal

the problem with this is 26K. The blue book or nada book is lower than that by abour 3 or 4K i believe

i bought the above car for less than 20. the dealership had to go pick it up. it was in an older couples garage with the car cover on it....

my point is, keep looking if you have the time or try to talk them down on the price if you can.

these cars are pretty expensive when new so there are probably not to many teenagers that had them when new to rag them out....

 

i dont think he'll budge on the price being that he could stroll up to the dealership at any point and trade it in for 21,500..

i think alot has to do w/ location.. where are you at??

 

i would hold out, i dont believe any dealership would give him that on trade in.

this car has 50000 miles less.
they did offer him that too.. i saw the sheet..

i just went by the local honda dealership today also and they had a used 03 w/ 9400 miles on it for 27 grand if thats any idea of what the prices are like around here
