Does anyone know what all is needed to have a ls tranny mated with a b16 into a crx? is the LS hydraulic or cable? What year should i go with, 95 and up?

Ok, get the LS tranny from the 90-91 integra. It should bolt right up just like any other cable trans would. Straight plug and play.

If you are using this in an all motor application it will be very slow. Try to find a Japanese y1 or a US 93 gsr trans

Well the LS trans is great for forced induction since the gears are longer. The trans will be great for your setup. For FI the b16 Y1 trans is just too closely geared.

B16+LS tranny= no VTEC after you switch gears. 90-93 Integra LS trannies are cable. 92-93 GSR trannies are cable too, and have much better gearing for n/a motors. 94+ are all hydro.

EF18Hatch, so what happens to my vTech? Is there anyway I can keep my vTech or is that just the nature of the ls tranny? so what would you recomment doing? All I would like to do is smoke a stock S2000 and thats it.

LS CRIX, the b16 tranny i have now is cracked at the bottom pretty bad. I bottomed out and cracked pretty much the whole bottom part of the inner and outer casing. Its now missing one whole screw and the clutch is actin up. let me know if you still wanna trade.

According to the numbers from Honda, the 1st and 2nd gear ratios are the same between GSR and LS trannies, however it is that really long 3rd gear that kills the VTEC on a LS tranny. It's just the nature of it. If that is all you've got you can definitely work with that and save up for y1, j1...
