Default Black housing Headlights on 2001 civic

Searched a couple of threads and didn't find a write up on doing a black housing Headlights on 2001 civic.

Is the procedure still applicable for my new car? BTW I purchased a white 2001 civic vti 4dr last week for 8,900 USD with 12,xxx Kms on it. Hope it was a good buy. I'll post a pic in the a/c when the weather starts to clear up.

Any way the black housing headlights is the first mod I wnt to do to it. Appreciate if I can get an info.

I am concerned with the baking process. The lens feels thinner and might melt in the oven, or become unclear due to the excessive heat.
