Default camera mount for my c-pillar bar? How to?

Is there some way you guys are using to mount a video camera to the c-pillar bar?

I have a c-pillar bar, and would like to use my camera mount there - but it looks like the only way to do it would be to drill a hole in it?

Isn't there some kind of clamp that would work on the c-pillar bar?

here, it is the same clamp IO port sells for 100$, but it has a very heavy duty C-clamp which allows it to be moved easily. I use it in autoX with a Sony DVR and it works awesome, doesnt move at all.

I have this also and it works great. Never had a problem with it coming loose and it is solid that in an unfortunate accident it should not move. Expensive, but well worth it.

goto bhphoto.com and buy the super clamp

I live in the city and bought the camera mount from the actual store. I like it because it is easy to remove and fits many diameters and costs about $40.

I tried the tripod in the back seat, but it didnt work that well. Then I made this for under $20 from Home Depot. A toggle bolt has the same thread as most camera's, so bolt it from underneath. It is sturdy as hell, it will not move at all. I used it in all my in car videos.
