I ran out to the BMS today to see what my car runs before modifying it.
Not sure what the temp or anything was. This was my first time at a drag strip.
1996 Civic DX hatchback
spare and tools removed, interior from B-pillars back (bottom of windows down) removed. Half tank of gas. Some kind of street tires, full tread, 26 psi.
My best run of the night was a 17.427 @ 75.69mph. .627 RT 2.443 60' 11.041 1/8
I couldn't find the spot so I was launching at 4,500 then bringing it down to control the spin by feathering the gas barely. I didn't play with the clutch or count with the tree. I didn't dump the clutch, but let it out a a good speed which was right between slipping it and dumping it.
Without replacing anything on the car, what should I do to get a better time?

I read a review I guess you could call it in the ITR forum and I'm going to give his technique a try. I'll post results next week for anyone who is curious.
