I need main and connecting rod bearings, but I won't know which color coded ones to get until I check the crank.

i take it you're not willing to go with the acl bearings for the mains and rods? there's supposed to be a code on the crank i believe that the dealer is supposed to be able to look up and get your bearing colors. otherwise, if this is the stock b18 from your actual car, just use the vin #.

 

It is well documented how to choose appropriate color coded bearings for the mains. that's not my question. If my crank is withing spec, yes I may use ACL bearings or something.

My question is, am I leaving anything out of a refresh/rebuild.
