What's the most boost on a DRAG III manifold without creep?
I'm planning to do pistons and rods soon and want to boost 16-18psi. I have a .63 ar T3/t04e and am doing 81mm 10:1 JE pistons and Eagle rods on stock sleeves. I want to make 350-375hp. How much boost should I need and should I worry about creep with my DRAG III manifold?
Well 16-18 psi will put you in the range of your goal. What size exsaust are you planning on using?? If you do get boost creep than its nothing that you're gonna have to worry about 1-2psi max. I've heard of people boostin at that level with no problems at all.
Sorry guys, I have this setup running right now with fully stock motor. 38mm Tial, 2.5 to 3" dp with a 3" Thermal making 285hp/225tq. No creep at 10psi but I'm not sure if I go more it'll creep or not?
You shouldn't get any boost creep. The Drag kit was meant to produce that type of horsepower and should handle 16-18 psi just fine. Even if it does creep like I said it won't be a big deal. Boost creep is when you create enough pressure to 'creep' past a certain set psi level even though it was set at a psi level via boost controller and wastegate. (had to make sure you know what boost creep is) So its not bad to 'gain' an unwanted 1 or 2 psi. But like stated its unwanted, thats all.
