What's up with the two methods of doing the axles?

Default What's up with the two methods of doing the axles?

Which method is the better: the Repair Manual route of taking the damper fork and LCA off, or the method in the archives:

... "Unbolt the lower control arm from the chassis and the lower shock mount/fork & radius rod and the whole knuckle swings right out of the way Sometimes you do have to remove the sway bar endlink, but usually I can do without. Sound like more work, but it really is quicker IMO. Guy at a honda dealer showed/told me that."

About the only thing I learned is not to use a pickle fork but a pitman arm puller instead. Btw, if I should go the pitman puller route, should I get the smaller Pitman Pullers? You do know there are two sizes, right?
