what difference between usdm and jdm motor swaps?
i just need to know whether to go for a jdm swap or a usdm swap. i heard that messed up things happen when you swap a jdm motor into a usdm car where as a usdm motor would work fine. whats the difference?
-more hp, torque and higher rpms on JDM engines.
-have to use your car's orginal wire harness due to the fact that jdm cars right hand drive
-jdm ecu's dont look for evap sensor

yah but ive heard that sometimes they make a weird revving sound when there warming up and just i wanna know if theres anything special you have to do or replace to make a jdm motor work exactly right.
they work right, b16 especially have a loud valve train, all b series are somewhat loud. The weird reving sound is probably either iacv, tps, something among those lines
yah but when you go buy an engine from a jdm motor distributor, they ask you if you want the jdm version or the usdm version. jdm motors have more hp so why would anybody want to get a usdm motor?
