1991 prelude seats into 1990 CRX Si?
I've done some searching...and can't find anything along these lines and frankly don't have the time to beat off doing so.
I haven't had the time to put some mint 1991 Prelude Si seats into my CRX...just wondering if anyone has tried the trick. Just looking for any tips of if it is just too difficult due to track widths, mounting points etc.

Haven't done it, but that's how it can be done.

i dont think its as easy as vap says. i think theres gonna need to be some custom modification. for example, should he use the crx rails or the prelude rails? i think some drilling and fab work is gonna need to be done.
oh and good luck and be sure to post some pics whenever youre done.

My bud and I pulled one of the REX seats and did a comparison. The prelude seats rails are placed further apart and the bolt points on the rails are closer together.
The rails on the REX bolt sideways into L-brackets attached to the bottom of the seat plate.
The rails on the Prelude seats bolt sideways on one side in the rear into an L-bracket and then the front bolts sideways into the pan tucked under the side leg bolster.
So pretty much a bitch to do without some drilling/welding and what not.
Sucks...the pair of Lude seats I pulled are absolutely mint...and the fact you can adjust the upper side bolsters on the drivers side is just to cool and comfortable.
I'm not gonna quite...I figure something out and will post some photos when I get things figured out.
Ah...seat pan swapping will not work...bottom cushion on Prelude seats are much wider and now wear to wrap the back seat cushion cover to on the Rex under pan.

Prelude seats fit in the REX perfectly...the trick is bolting them up. But I've got some ideas to over come my current obstacles.
That's exactly what I was thinking of doing...I just have to deal with the width problem on the Prelude seats...but a little more fabrication and I think it can be done! Thanks!
