Well no they are not the same... Even though the cam cap bore it probably not identical anyways, the cam cap design is completely different...

 

You might want to IM Kteller. He had a cam cap issue with the H22 head he bought.

I was told that this is the reason why Honda doesn't sell the cam caps separately.

 

well I lost them for my h22 head and justwanted toknowif I couldswapthem from my h23 head but Iguess not.

I used different cam caps from a different h22 head on this swap and they seemed to work fine. I cant see why honda doesnt sell them separatly

 

The reason Honda doesn't sell them individually is because they are all line bored with the cylinder head to make sure that every cylinder head has cam caps that fit it perfect... Honda builds there motors on such tight clearances though that most of the time the cam caps should all come out the same, however they still won't sell them individually...

yes and like someone said, the h23 ones are way different

Do you still have these caps? I'm wondering if I could buy it. Had a broken cap here with my h23 non-vtec header as well.

Your header is non-vtec right?
