Question on rubbing
Hey everyone,
I have a 96 civic and putting on 225/45 17s. I want to drop it but i was wondering if i can do it (by that i mean how bad will i rub). i dont have money for tires less wide right now. And if its possible how low should i go? Just wondering what you all think. Thanks

That will help him.....and BTW, "The greatest thing you can ever say is nothing."
The 225/45-17s are a very large tire for a civic. Depending on what offset your wheels are and what kind of camber you will be running, they may or may not rub. I wouldnt lower it much, if at all, until you can get the appropriate size tires.

you won't be able to lower it much. maybe about an inch. yes you will rub very bad if you lower it more. what do you mean you can't afford a smaller tire?! the bigger the tire, the more expensive. you can probably find 205/40 Kumho's for around $70 each. get smaller rims, or get a smaller tire.
