Default quick ECU pin question, need a few replies to confirm

quick AND SIMPLE!!! question, yes or no
when you're looking at a diagram for an ECU...for the pins, is there a standard numbering system for them, or does it depend on each write-out

i hope that makes sense... another words, if you look at some instructions like these [dx to zc wiring] http://hybrid2.honda-perf.org/tech/4gdxtozc.html will pin [example] number B2 but the same as the next wiring diagram?

most diagrams you will find are numbered the same - looking at the side of the connector with the holes (opposite the wires) numbering is odd numbers on top starting with 1 on the right side and progressing to the left - even numbers on bottom starting with 2 on the right side and progressing to the left - note that on connector A (the largest) there is no A9
