Default Dissappointed with ACT street/strip clutch

i installed this act street/strip clutch like 2 months ago with the heavy duty pressure plate..i thought with time this clutch will start grabbing harder and harder...turns out its doing the exact opposite. My stock clutch grabed harder then this one. Anybody else have any similair experiences with this clutch...i hope there is a way to adjust the clutch or do something..

ACT clutches are only rated to 8K RPM, so i wouldn't have recommended going with it in the first place...

We have a 2600 ACT in our SOHC VTEC civic with a 55 shot and it grabs great! Two weeks ago we stripped all the teeth off of the final drive gear. We also have a ACT in our AWD Talon that is running over 20psi at the track.

We have never had a problem and will only sell ACT clutches.

It grabs like a champ on my car. Did you even do a proper break in? I know it said 400 miles but i went 600-700 street driving miles after started to beat the living daylights out of it.

Bingo! I was going to say the same thing. Talk to Jason (fstasntz) He went through like 2-3 of them before ACT pulled their head out of their *** and told him that.

Yup, went thru two in a six month span. They were supposed to have remedied that problem earlier this year. Not sure how it is working.
If it was me and I had to do it all over again, and I do, I would get the Exedy full face disc and the ACT Xtreme plate. That should hold just about anything I need for all motor, and wind as high as I need it to.
Guess we will see...
