Default Header clearance

I know this may be a repost but i have to go soon, so a quick answer would be great. My bro bought this cheap *** OBX header for the time being while he was broke. The first day he put it on he hit a couple bumps here and there. When he looked under the car he noticed the header was crushed almost together because it came to close to the road. Are all headers going to have clearence problem or do they wrap around a little closer to the undercarage? If so, does anyone have a header they can suggest for a eg hatch with b16? Thanks, pics would be great if yall had time. Take care, sorry if this is a repost.

Josh.

Yes he bought it and fits the b16, just the damn piping hangs so low. Now that he has money he wants to get a affordable header but he doesnt want to smash a good exhaust the first day he buys it. Any header that wraps close to the undercarage?

I'm under the impression that any header made for an EG6 will have good ground clearance. Apart from that, a header made for the '99-'00 Si should also have fine clearance. You just need to make sure you buy a decent header made specifically for the B16. A header made for a B18 will hang low. Of course, this might limit your selection, but such is the joy of driving a lowered Honda

It was made for the B16. I think he may go for a dc 4-1 header. He just is nervous that the same thing will happen. And if you knew my bro, if he gets pissed he will yank that header out without tools and throw it at an old lady. hopefully he will get one and that wont happen.

I haven't had first hand experience with OBX but I wouldn't be surprised if what JDMlifestyle said was true. If your friend uses the DC JDM ITR 4-1, he will have clearance issues. But a regular 4-1 (2.25" collector) should work fine.

gt a used one, i got a used 4-1 dc for my b16 couple weeks ago, havent installed it yet, it already has a small dent on it.

if you buy a new one youre going to just end up denting it anyways, resulting in where u woulda been if u bought one used
btw, i paid $75

4-1 headers hang lower...... go with 4-2-1 or raise your car up.
