CKF code

i have a 99 black vti and i just rebuilt the engine... and its throwing a code 54...crankshaft speed fluctuation..

what could be wrong excluding a bAD wire or bad sensor?
the idle seems fine and its revs OK...

if you've tested the sensor, and all the wires
try a different ECU
