Default Alternator belt keeps falling off !!!!!

as the title states.. my alternator belt keeps falling off.. this is the 2nd time now and its pissin me off.. my alternator seems to be intact and not dangling.. i also noticed that when i do have the belt on the car runs more sluggish and the belt squeeks when its cold or when its raining. should i be worried here? why does my belt keep falling off?

take a pry bar and force the altenator back more then tighten the bolts. shouldnt be any slack at all in the belt.

if the belt is fu-ked up change it, if not do what they said about prying, make sure you tighten that bolt tight

just tighten it, theres a bolt on the pulley i believe its a 14 hold the nut with a wrench and tighten it with a ratchet and it should be fine

it might be falling off cause your getting moister on the pully and since the belt isent the way it should be the little bit of water is enough to send it flying off, happend everytime it rained in my chrysler car, i think i changed the belt and it werked out fine.....

Check the alignment of the pulleys too. The two should be exactly lined up. Also check for woblng, yur pulley could be vibrating.
