Loud noise coming from rear !!!
Well i posted this a while ago but got no decent responses, i took my teg to get the back springs installed and now from the rear every single bump i hit it makes a loud noicswe and i can feel it in the car actually, They only put the rear ones in at the shop because i had problems, also wen they did this the ABS light came on...coincidince? If ne1 has ne ideas i would raelly appreciate it, im about to go crazy
i put H&R race on the stock shocks 2in drop i believe and it sounds like the shock is hitting the part it rests on in the trunk like a "clunk"

When i got the springs installed he said i was lucky because i should have needed new bushings in the back and next time i want to switch springs i will need new ones, would bad bushings cause loud noises maybe the bolt hiting the axel or something?
blown struts could be the cause... or if your springs drop is excessive causing your strut to hit your bump stops. some companies recommend cutting your bump stops by half if their drop is excessive.
well this is what i think it is....some may disagree, but i have the h&r race springs on my gsr, and if you noticed how you didnt have to compress the spring when you put it on, well when you hit a bump and the shock stretches out the spring doesnt have any pressure on it so its free to move around, well the car comes back down on the shock, and im pretty sure thats what the sound is, if that makes any sense
the nut on the top of the strut, tighten it more until it wont go down any further then either find a torque spec for it or tighten it like crazy, if that nut comes loose or off then you will either make that noise your talking about or you will die. Also might wanna check out your ball joints, and check your ABS lines for leaks and or kinks.
no the nut is tightened down all the way, the springs are just very short, they are that short bc they dont compress much, thats how they get thier stiffness, ive checked everything and all it is is the spring bouncing (so to speak ) when the car hits a bump
