Default AC and Idle Problems

I am still having problems with the Idleing when the AC is on. I have a 5 speed and everytime I get into neutral with the AC on, the idle drops close to 0 rpm and then corrects it self.

I clean the throttle with cleaner and added Fuel injection cleaner.

Could the timing be off? Fuel pump be bad?or something?

You should be able to adjust (somewhat) your idle...if you look at your IM from the passenger side (looking into the intake tube) there is a small screw, adjust that.

When the AC comes the idle goes up and then comes back down, but when it comes back down, it goes too low as if the car is about to shut off, which isn't normal in a Honda Accord.

I think after I adjust the timing from the Distributor, that’s when this started. I am not sure. Though.

Would too much Freon in the AC compressor cause this?

How about Fuel Filter?

No those 2 problems would cause more than your idle dropping.

IMO check your dizzy and your idle control (that screw I was talking about) it helped me out

What is a Dizzy? I will adjust that screw and see what happens.

i am having the same problem. i adjusted the idle screw according to the procedures in the Haynes manual and my idle still drops near zero then comes back up. i had to retard my distro a couple degrees, would that cause much of the problem? or should i just try and clean out my IAC valve?

Yeah it seams like when the fan comes on it's worst, like the battery doesn't hav e enough power when the fan comes on. What's an IAC valve?

I removed the IAC valve and saw alot of carbon build up in it, I cleaned it out and installed back and reset the ECU. The car runs fine now and I haven't seen that problem any more. Thanks to everyone that helped me out on this one.
